Your comfort and safety are our top priorities. Here’s a step-by-step guide to your
CryoLabs cryotherapy experience.
When you arrive at CryoLabs, our friendly staff will welcome you and guide you through the initial check-in process.
You’ll be asked to complete a General Medical Questionnaire and Consent to Treatment form to help us ensure your safety during the session. If you prefer, you can download and complete the form in advance from our website.
We’ll provide all necessary protective gear, including a hat or headband, face mask, gloves, knee-length socks, and footwear.
Men typically wear cotton shorts, while women can wear a bikini, swimsuit, or shorts with a sports top (please avoid underwired bras).
Before your session, ensure your skin is completely dry and remove all jewellery. If any jewellery cannot be removed, please ensure it is fully covered.
Your session begins with 30 seconds in the pre-chamber, set to approximately -60°C. This allows your body to gently acclimatise to the cold before entering the main chamber.
You’ll then move into the main treatment chamber, which operates at around -120°C, for a further 3 minutes. Despite the extreme temperature, the dry air makes the experience surprisingly tolerable. A trained staff member will monitor you throughout the entire session, and you may exit at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
After your session, you may feel invigorated and refreshed. Many clients report immediate pain relief, a noticeable mood lift, and an overall sense of well-being. Mild redness on the skin is normal and typically fades quickly. Your skin temperature will return to normal within minutes.
We recommend a short recovery period after your session. To allow your body to warm up naturally and maximise the benefits, avoid hot showers or saunas for a few hours. Light exercise post-session is generally fine and can even enhance the effects.
Our chambers come with built-in safety features, and you’re free to exit at any time if you feel uncomfortable. A trained operator is always on hand, monitoring your session through sound and video. If you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions (such as Raynaud’s or claustrophobia), please let our staff know before your session.
