Your comfort and safety are our top priorities. Here’s a step-by-step guide to your
CryoLabs cryotherapy experience.
When you arrive at CryoLabs, our friendly staff will welcome you and guide you through the initial check-in process.
You'll be asked to complete a General Medical Questionnaire & Consent to Treatment Form. This helps us ensure cryotherapy is safe for you. You can also download and complete this in advance from our website.
We'll provide you with the necessary protective gear: face mask, hat/headband, gloves, knee-length socks, and footwear. Men typically wear cotton shorts; women wear a bikini, swimsuit, or shorts and a sports top (no underwired bras). Ensure you are completely dry and remove all possible jewellery.
Your session begins with about 30 seconds in our pre-chamber, which is set to approximately -65°C to -75°C. This helps your body acclimatize to the cold.
You'll then move into the main treatment chamber, operating at -135°C, for about 3 minutes. Despite the extreme cold, the dry air makes it surprisingly comfortable. A trained staff member observes the entire session.
After exiting, you might feel invigorated and refreshed. Many report immediate pain relief and a mood boost. Your skin temperature will quickly return to normal.
We recommend a brief recovery period. Avoid hot showers or saunas for a couple of hours to allow your body to warm up naturally for optimal results. Exercise post-session is generally fine.
Our chambers are equipped with safety features, and you can exit at any time if you feel uncomfortable. A trained operator is always present, monitoring your session via sound and video. If you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions (e.g., Raynaud’s, claustrophobia), please inform our staff.
